Design-to-code studio — est. 2014

Pixel-Perfect PSD to HTML, Hand-Coded by Front-End Specialists

PSD Loft is a design-to-code studio. You send us a finished design — a layered PSD, a flattened mockup, or a modern design file — and we send back clean, semantic, responsive HTML and CSS that matches it down to the pixel. No page builders, no automated exporters, no bloated generated markup. Every line of code that leaves this studio was typed by a front-end developer who cares about how it reads, how it renders, and how it performs.

We have been converting designs into working front-ends since 2014, when the responsive-design wave made hand-coded markup a competitive advantage rather than a luxury. A decade later the tools have changed, but the problem has not: designers and agencies still need their visual work translated into code they can trust, on a deadline they can promise to a client.

The case for craft

Why Hand-Coded Markup Still Wins

Automated design-to-code tools have improved enormously, and for a quick prototype they can be the right call. But production code is a different standard. Generated markup tends to be div-heavy, absolutely positioned, and brittle — it looks right until the content changes, and then it breaks in ways nobody can debug. Hand-coded HTML is built around the meaning of the content: headings are headings, lists are lists, navigation is navigation. That semantic structure is what search engines parse, what screen readers announce, and what the next developer on your project will silently thank you for.

It also performs. Because we write only the CSS a layout actually needs, our builds ship a fraction of the code weight of a typical page-builder export. Lighter pages render faster, and rendering speed is a measurable ranking and conversion factor — Google's own engineers document the connection in depth on web.dev.

Standards, not hacks

Built to Standards

Every build we deliver validates against the W3C Markup Validation Service and follows the HTML Living Standard. We code to the documented behavior of the platform — the same references professional front-end developers live in, like MDN Web Docs — rather than to the quirks of whichever browser happens to be open. The result is markup that ages well. Sites we coded years ago still render correctly today, because standards-based code does not rot the way hack-based code does.

No surprises

A Process Designed Around Your Deadline

Most projects follow the same four steps: you send the design files and requirements, we reply with a fixed quote and delivery date, we build and test, and you review. Standard turnaround for a typical homepage is a few business days; multi-page sites and WordPress themes are scoped individually. There are no surprises mid-project because the quote is fixed before we start — read the full walkthrough on our process page or see how we think about cost on the pricing page.

Standard with every project

Quality Guarantees

Three promises come standard with every project, large or small:

1

Pixel accuracy.

We overlay the build on your design file and adjust until they match. If you can see a difference, so can we, and we fix it.

2

Cross-browser testing.

Every deliverable is tested in current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, plus real iOS and Android devices for responsive work.

3

Free revisions on accuracy.

If something we delivered does not match the approved design, correcting it costs nothing — ever.

Who We Work With

Our clients are mostly designers and small agencies — people who can produce a beautiful PSD but would rather not spend their week wrestling with flexbox edge cases and email client quirks. We work white-label by default: your client never needs to know we exist. Browse a selection of anonymized work in our portfolio, or read about the studio itself on the about page.

Start Your Project

Getting a quote takes one short message. Tell us what you have (file format, number of unique layouts) and what you need (static HTML, WordPress, email), and we will reply with a fixed price and timeline — usually within one business day.
